| Curriculum & Testing Coordinator Definition: The Curriculum & Testing Coordinator (CTC) works in the Department of Studies directly reporting to the Director of Studies (DOS) and is responsible for the design and development of teaching resources and assessment and testing procedures and instruments. The CTC will act as a mentor to the different members of the Department of Studies. The CTC will monitor the work of the Quality Controller and the Instructor Programmer. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Conduct invisible assessment for top management levels in corporate courses 2. Write post-placement reports 3. Develop, craft and revise placement tests 4. Inform Customer Service regarding track recommendations with respect to re-enrollment courses 5. Check and follow up misplacements and coach the Quality Controller on what actions to be taken 1. Supervise corporate Placement Planning & Implementing 2. Conduct and report Instructor observation in coordination with DOS 3. Supervise Complaint (non-regular) counseling, reporting and documenting and report to DOS 4. Do paid teacher substitution 5. Conduct bi-monthly department archive revision 1. Crafting tests 2. Create curriculum guide to books used 3. Research activities, supplemental materials, teaching resources references and align them to OEA teaching materials 4. Check and recommend new ESL & EFL publications 5. Design new curricula for new courses in coordination with DOS 6. Represent OEA in fairs, exhibitions and conferences 7. Revise and edit existing tests 8. Craft new tests 6. Write weekly progress reports 7. Lead the placement team of the department 8. Train and mentor the other members of the department on standardized placement testing and assessment practices and writing post-placement reports 9. Monitor and evaluate the work of Instructor Programmer and the Quality Controller High Priority Tasks: 1. Revision of all placement tests 2. Add a writing composition component to placement tests & level tests 3. Add an oral component to conversation courses final level test 4. Develop Question Bank 5. Finalize running courses Quality Control procedures 6. Finalize the Student Quality Control procedures 7. Finalize the Instructor Quality Control procedures Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Strong written communication skills in English language; ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive correspondence documents. 2. Attention to detail. 3. Ability to meet deadlines. 4. Strong organizational skills 5. Core computer skills in word processing, data base management, spreadsheets and electronic communications (email, listserv, e‐newsletters, etc). 6. Good interpersonal and communication skills 7. Bachelor degree in English language | |
