| Software Engineer KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and the evolution of existing database applications on SQLServer and Oracle as the data server. - You will work closely with Product Manager to develop requirements specifications and design documents for implementation. - You will assess system impact and provide accurate effort required to achieve deliverables. - You will investigate application problems reported by the support team, determine cause, and provide accurate system solution. - You will participate in software releases deployment, such as integration testing or packaging. Qualifications: - 3 -5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a financial services environment; - You have a bachelor’s degree in a computer or technical related field or equivalent work experience; - Solid technical trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills; - Good communicator and team- player; - Excellent programming skills in the following languages: T/SQL, PL/SQL. Mastering Java is a plus. - Excellent knowledge of SQLServer or Oracle is required. - Knowledge of Crystal Report is an asset. - Good knowledge of Windows environment. Familiar with UNIX (solaris and AIX) is an asset. - You are flexible and open for traveling abroad for trainings or short missions (mainly in Europe). - You speak fluent English (All communication is to be done in English). French is an asset. | |
