| Mechanical specialist Responsibilities: 1. Actively participate in the development and implementation of Egyptian LNG safety and environmental policies, procedures and events – Safety and environmental audits, Emergency response team, Safety meetings, and promotions. 2. Review manning requirements in conjunction with Electrical and Instrument Maintenance Staff, Human Resource personnel and to develop relevant selection criteria to ensure successful recruitment activities. 3. Overall safety is the main underlying responsibility. 4. Responsible to the Mechanical Supervisor for coordinating and safely leading a diverse team of specialist craftsmen who will carry out the maintenance of all Mechanical equipments. 5. Responsible for monitoring equipment maintainability necessary to meet production objectives. 6. Responsible for the control of the maintenance budget assigned to his / her section. 7. Act as a relief for Mechanical Supervisor when required. 8. Monitor and evaluate on continuous basis the workload assignments to develop an optimum manning levels. 9. Review in conjunction with Electrical and Instrument Specialists or Technicians the manufacturer’s recommended spares holding list in the context of local operating conditions and develop and monitor spare parts holding with specific emphasis on emergency and shutdown items. 10. Develop, implement and document preventive maintenance system(s) for equipment under area of responsibility to ensure equipment/systems availability is maintained and that safe operating conditions obtained. 11. Review on monthly basis the preventive maintenance program and take necessary /appropriate action if required. 12. Organize the maintenance activity and maintain at all time the following Mechanical equipments • static equipments such as fired and unfired vessel, column, heat exchanger and piping, etc • maintenance shop • Others with appropriate special tools and diagnostic equipment, in conjunction with Electrical and Instrument maintenance staff to ensure maximum in-house maintenance and repair capability to minimize equipment downtime. 13. Evaluate and certify that all work performed by contractor under area of supervision is executed in accordance with contractual requirements and company’s regulations and procedures. 14. Convene appropriate operational meetings and submit reports as required on significant work in progress in conjunction with Electrical and Instrument Maintenance staff. 15. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan/schedule and coordinate all work activities with the Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler and maintain all necessary history in the CMMS. 16. To participate in a standby / call out rota system and to be readily available during this period. 17. Ensure that maintenance shop is fully manned and equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer / supplier regulation and company procedures so that critical maintenance in-house capability is available on a continuous basis. 18. Ensure through on-site inspection that all work in area of responsibility is executed in accordance with company’s safety and environmental procedures. 19. Assist in the development and support of ELNG’s Safety Management System. 20. Assist in the integration of Egyptian LNG core values and expectations into the maintenance organization. Bringing together people of different background and with diverse range of skills and experiences; making a cohesive maintenance team. 21. To execute the work according to the set priority and available resources and materials. 22. Participate in the studies and review of plant asset integrity and assist to implement the recommendation. Qualifications 1. Excellent command of English language and computer literate. 2. Bsc Engineering qualification. 3. Five (5) years solid, hands-on practical relevant experienced in oil and gas industries or 4. Diploma from Technical school with ten (10) years solid, hands-on practical relevant experienced in oil and gas industries. 5. Being flexible in terms of highly listening capability to others opinions, accepting criticism & change, willingness to move around the organization & being highly motivated. 6. Being adaptable in terms of responding to emergency, being highly organized, ability to be developed and being initiative. 7. Expressing positive attitude of Can-Do in terms of effective achievement of the assigned targets & willing to accept other responsibilities and tasks & positive attitude to face any problems that arise. 8. Being team player in terms of sharing knowledge, cooperation & excellent communication skills. 9. Well organized with safe work attitude. Must be safety conscious. | |
